CHEF = (?) CHEF
CHEF (auf Englisch) - a skilled and trained cook who works in a hotel or restaurant, especially the most important cook -> Chefkoch, Küchenchef, Koch

Chef - kein Boss, sondern der Koch. Verwirren Sie also nicht Ihre Kollegen, wenn Sie "Chef" sagen aber den "Vorgesetzten" meinen. Es sei denn, Sie arbeiten in einer Küche. :-)

Examples:

A working chef at London's celebrated River Café, Jamie Oliver cooks simpler versions of the fare you would find on the restaurant's menu.

A celebrity chef is someone who has become well-known for his/her cooking.

He's a chef at the Trafalgar Hotel.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CHEF (auf Deutsch) - boss (nicht: chef), head of the department

Examples:

A chief executive officer (CEO) or chief executive is the highest-ranking corporate officer (executive) or administrator in charge of total management of a corporation, company, organization, or agency, reporting to the board of directors.

Our new boss is an Australian.

Patricia was the boss of a large international company.
